Dreams & Nightmares 💤

Last night, I dreamt of a sunset.        A gorgeous sunset, across a great lake. It filled the sky up with crimson red, as it swept across the horizon. The very eye in the sky, caught ablaze, setting down on a place to rest for the long night ahead. Still, in that moment, I did not care about what lay ahead. In that very moment, I was absorbed with the magnificence of the scenery I was caught up in. All I could think of was how fortunate I was to be able to witness something as spectacular as the sun setting within my time here on Earth.      And then I woke up. Nothing more, nothing less. No visit from an other-worldly being, no message from the great unknown. Just me, myself and the sun. Naturally, I did some digging on the dream, trying to better understand it. This isn’t the first time I’ve dreamt of a sunset like this before. In fact, I had a similar one months ago back in August. It seems like the sunset has become a sort of r...

The Dark Age 🎵

Sometimes I feel like, I don’t have a partner. Sometimes I feel like, my only friend. Is the city I live in, the city of Angels. Lonely as I am- together, we cry.      What a song. What an album. What a band. The depth of music and lyrics are something which very few artists can come close to today. Which is astounding, if you sit back and look at it from a clear-eyed view. Art- Music, Movies, Books, etc.- Are meant to improve over time, as we as humans evolve. Yet, when we take a moment to sit back and look at the overall landscape of the arts environment we currently find ourselves in- it has not. In fact, I would argue that is has dropped in quality like nothing we have ever seen before. I would argue that the overall composition of music, cinema, books and all other forms of content, have become plagued by something destructive. Some sort of disease, which has put society into a strangle-hold. Something that is slowly gnawing away at the very fabric of all which we ho...

The Multiverse 🪐

Dana White once said that: If you aren’t excited for Monday’s, then you’re in the wrong field.         I agree with him on that. Monday’s should be the day you wake up excited, put on your boots and get back to work with enthusiasm. You should be foaming at the mouth to start the week off at 100% and face any challenges thrown your way with the ability to overcome them. After all, what is Monday if not for just another made up name we have been fed into our subconsciousness? Little deep for a Monday morning, I know.        Do you ever wonder if there truly is a multiverse? Do you ever sit and ponder on the thought of there being unlimited, alternative, versions of yourself, living elsewhere within time? Another wild question. Something about the idea is soothing, making it sound so satisfying. Nothing would make me happier than to know that perhaps there is a version of me, somewhere else in time, currently doing something...

Sunday Thoughts 💭

Sunday Funday.      Another week in the books. Time really flies when you’re having fun. Same question I ask every single week- what have you accomplished? We’re now four weeks into the new year, and at this point you’re either taking strides towards your goals, or you’re cooked. They say that forming any habit takes a 3 by 3 by 3 trajectory. 3 days to make it a habit, 3 weeks to make it a plan, and 3 months to make it a permanent change. I suppose I buy into that notion. The idea of change being subtle, yet intense, should be the goal for anybody who is looking to improve themselves in some capacity. The ability to take small actions, small steps, and compound them towards a greater goal is the key to success. I truly vouch for the power of compound action. I have seen it at work in my own life, and the results re astronomical. Little by little, brick by brick, the tiniest of actions can build up to a mountain of success. The littlest of forces can be...

Kobe Bryant 🏀

Kobe Bryant was a world-class athlete.        He was an individual who used his all-in, mama mentality to attack the game that he loved, to become the greatest version of himself. Overall, he was an inspiration to millions of individuals and athletes alike. Who hasn’t at least once thrown a piece of paper into a garbage bin and yelled “Kobe!” at some point or another? His mark on sports, as well as Western Society, is undoubtable.        I still remember where I was, the day the news broke. At the gym, running on a treadmill, watching the television up above the machines. Non-stop 24hr coverage of Kobe Bryant in a helicopter crash. It felt surreal. I was listening to it, staring at the pictures and words across the bottom of the screen- but I had a hard time believing it. I had a hard time fully absorbing the news and accepting it as reality. Something about the entire event felt like it was a movie- a bad dream. I don’t know Kobe Bryant- I’ve nev...

Communication 🔑

Communication is Key .      At least, thats what they tell me. Everybody, everywhere, preaching how communication is the most important aspect of any relationship, both personal and professional. If that is true, then how come so many people are so horrible at it? It would seem like a skill one should go to extraordinary lengths to master, in order to excel in their relationships within their own lives. Yet, over and over again, we see people who fail at it, horrendously.      I used to believe that people simply were born a certain way, and that was that. Some people, were born with skills in certain areas- while others, were not. I ate up the good old lie of talent, and believed that some people simply have something that others cannot possess. Perhaps some people simply are better communicators than others, because they were given said talent. Perhaps some people are better at clay sculpting simply because they were given that talent....

Societal Demise 📉

I watched an interview with a French scientist named Jacques Vallée last night.      To be honest, it kinda freaked me out. Jacques Vallée is a huge advocate for Unidentified Flying Objects, better known as UFO’s. The entire conversation, was eye-opening and interesting to say the least. It tied in to multiple other stories and interviews I’ve watched on the subject- from Bob Lazar working on an unidentified space craft, to Betty and Barney Hill and their abduction story. I think the thing which freaks me out the most about these stories, is their eerie similarities between them all. That was one of the themes in which Jacques was speaking about as well. How all these stories, from all these people, millions of miles away, all share similar background data. They all have bits and pieces, that add up to a bigger picture. One of the more interesting stories was that of the children in South Africa, who claimed that back in 1994 that an unidentified object came down, made co...
