The Dark Age 🎡

Sometimes I feel like, I don’t have a partner. Sometimes I feel like, my only friend. Is the city I live in, the city of Angels.

Lonely as I am- together, we cry.

What a song. What an album. What a band. The depth of music and lyrics are something which very few artists can come close to today. Which is astounding, if you sit back and look at it from a clear-eyed view. Art- Music, Movies, Books, etc.- Are meant to improve over time, as we as humans evolve. Yet, when we take a moment to sit back and look at the overall landscape of the arts environment we currently find ourselves in- it has not. In fact, I would argue that is has dropped in quality like nothing we have ever seen before. I would argue that the overall composition of music, cinema, books and all other forms of content, have become plagued by something destructive. Some sort of disease, which has put society into a strangle-hold. Something that is slowly gnawing away at the very fabric of all which we hold dear.

Today’s art seems hellbent on pushing forward messages which are just degenerative behaviours and beliefs. It’s a calculated formula, pushed upon all those who consume it. Everything we used to hold dear, has dropped in quality substantially. From watching television shows on Netflix, to listening to new music on Spotify. Even movies which are released in theatres, or new paintings put on display at the museum. Everything, everywhere, sucks. Our society is sick and diseased by a plague that is slowly chipping away at all that we hold dear. Our food is poisoned, our media is poisoned, our very air we breathe is the same. Everything which we currently find ourselves surrounded by is killing us, feeding us some nonsense or lie to help break us down to our lowest forms. We are constantly being attacked from all angles, attempting to drown us in the very outlets we used to use to escape.

Music for me is a big one. I have always used music as a way to escape reality, and place myself somewhere else. Even today, I continue to practice doing the same thing. When I workout, I always blast music to help ease my suffering (don’t tell David Goggins). I’ll throw on some music which reflects my mood, allowing me to retreat to a sacred place and dig deep into my feelings. It allows me to reach new depths and heights which I did not know I had. The very art which I listen to, allowing me to unlock my own potential. Yet with today’s new releases, I have to be more careful than ever. I have to be fully aware of what I am listening to at all times. The very music which my brain consumes, affects me. I have to carefully create playlists, sifting thru all the songs I add, to make sure nothing negative leaks thru the cracks. I have to make sure that what I am listening to, portrays a positive message. With a generation that is constantly being force-fed satanic ideologies and backwards messaging, I have to keep my mind clear from all the programming they continue to push forward. The non-stop indoctrination of backwards morals and dangerous ideologies, slowly eating away at the very fabric which keeps us together as a society. The very contract which we all are apart of, being pulled apart by words over 808 drums.

Art is a direct reflection of the individuals who are creating it. That much, we know for certain. Some of the greatest artists in the history of the world, have been deep and profound individuals. Most of them have even been challenged by dark demons, which haunted them throughout their lives. Van Gogh cut off his own ear, and gave it as a present for crying out loud. If that doesn’t scream insanity, I don’t know what does. However, even at his lowest, even in the darkest of hours- his art was light. Everything he created, was deep and profound. I won’t sit here and pretend that everything he painted was butterflies and rainbows. However, I will argue that his reflection was that of himself, not of the environment around him. He was known to spend his time partaking in degenerative behaviours, slowly killing himself in the process. Yet his art never spilled over with the darkness which he found inside. It was more of a form of therapy- one where he was free to let out the light inside of him, which he worked so hard to destroy. Perhaps it was his soul’s way of breaking thru the noise of his behaviours, allowing it the chance to breathe once more. Either way, to this day, his work remains remarkable. The same can be said for thousands of other artists- Michelangelo, DaVinci, Pollock, etc.

We have entered the dark ages of art. There is no other way to put it. We have ventured to a breaking point in humanity- one where things cannot afford to stay the same. Most people can feel it. Most individuals, who are awake and aware, are conscious that something is about to change. We have ventured down a dark path in society, and the very social contract which has been in place for hundreds of years is slowly failing. The landscape is changing, and it is changing fast. Things have been placed into motion which cannot be undone. The moral code which we as humans have adhered to for so long, is slowly being chipped away, brick by brick. Soon, there will be no line left to divide us. Soon, all the demons which are in hell will freely walk amongst us. We have reached a boiling point in our culture. Every single day, we step closer to the edge, staring into the dark void which lays directly ahead of us. What will happen once we finally cross the line, and allow the darkness to consume us? What is waiting for us on the other side of sin? I don’t necessarily know for certain, but one thing is for sure- We are about to find out.

We, as humans, are continuing to push forward down a treacherous path. We have been brainwashed and programmed to completely ignore our consciousness. We no longer have a moral compass inside to help guide us, to help distinguish between right and wrong. Overall, we are lost. We are being lead astray, into the deep unknown. We have been disconnected from our neighbours, disconnected from reality, and disconnected from God himself. All by design. All by deception. All by the programming which is trying to run us astray. We have been misled and misguided, from a truth we once all shared.

United We Stand, Divided We Fall.

We as humans, have never been more divided.

May God have mercy on us all,

                    Amen.
