Sunday Thoughts 💭

Quiet Desperation      Holding on to each and every breath, waiting for a moment. Praying for a day, that never truly comes.      The lives of the men who came before me, constantly living in a world of despair. From daily interactions, to the simply milestones of life- an act so simple, yet dark in nature. The very thought of a moment, where a breakthrough finally occurs. And yet- it never happens.      Praying for a miracle leads most men desperate. They live their lives, believing that their faith will be rewarded. Stumbling, day after day, hoping that our Creator will bless them with abundance, as the tides of fortune finally turn their direction. So long they pray, until finally- their days become no more.      A never-ending cycle of desperation. Where belief has scarred over into complacency. A pipe dream of a world in which they live in, slowly fades into he shadows forever again.      How many of ...

R.I.P. Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau 🕊️

R.I.P. Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau      Absolutely heartbreaking news to wake up to. To learn that two brothers, two athletes, two stand-up individuals, killed by a drunk driver. The words themselves almost don’t ring true as I write them. Something so hard to even believe, that it causes me pain just to say out loud. An absolute tragedy, in every sense of the word.        Sudden death like this is such a difficult event to truly understand. It is so far-out and uncommon, that the very thought of it takes a while to truly seep in. The constant denial of learning about it, not truly believing what we see. How just yesterday, things were no different- only to wake up today and find that the world has changed.      It’s a weird thing, learning about the deaths of two athletes. For starters- I never personally knew the two brothers. However, the real sense of tragedy is the connection we all shared. The tight-knit community that we ...

Sunday Thoughts 💭

Another week in the books.      Sunday has gone, and come again. The wheels of time continue to spin forward. Will it ever stop? We may never know.      Regardless, it’s time to once again take a step back, and look at the bigger picture. To review the week that has passed, to celebrate the wins and analyze the losses. Both are crucial in better understanding and growing as a human being. We are meant to achieve great things, you and I, while we still have air left in our lungs to breathe.        Something about today feels … good. I feel refreshed- reborn. I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it is, but I feel it. In my soul, I no longer feel like I am the same person I was the week before. Perhaps that is an accurate statement, when you think about it. The atoms which formed my body last week, are no longer the ones which control me today. I have shed my skin, and have been reborn from the ashes in which I was buried. The new age ha...

Sunday Thoughts 💭

Dearly Beloved,                         W e are gathered here today to celebrate this thing called life.      Another week in the books. Mark it down. 7 days have come, and 7 days have passed. The sands of time continue forward, regardless of what we do with them. The flow never stops, like a river heading to the ocean. Things may come in between it, but it will never slow it down. Time is inevitable.        As per usual, Sunday’s are a great time to spend reflecting on the 7 days which have passed. Did you accomplish all that you set out to achieve? Were you able to complete all the tasks you assigned yourself from the week before? Did you move with such ferocity and intensity, that the world itself could not help but bend to your own will? Or did you sit around all day, making excuses? Did you bitch and moan, about how everything was unfair and impossible? Did you do anythin...
