  The Media is the Enemy.      Propaganda has always been my favourite word in the English dictionary. The thought of being able to manipulate and control a population, based on the repeated messages and images being shown to them, is extremely powerful. How an entire civilization, an entire generation, can be completely consumed by this method, is nowhere short of magical.        Today, we are subjected to forms of magic and propaganda to which the world has never seen before. Never before in history, has a population had to go through as much of a challenge as we do today. Every single corner of our days have been infected with the same, propagandized message. From the advertisements on our phones, to the music being blasted over the airwaves. From the television we consume, to the very pictures and posters glued across the walls of the city. Every single second of our lives, are being exposed to complex and dark propaganda.      ...

Is this what it felt like, when Nazi Germany marched into Poland and split the country in half, in agreement with the USSR?      Was the pre-determined agreement, between both the National Socialist and Bolshevik parties, a similar celebration of conquest as that which we have witnessed in the past 48 hours? Two different scenarios, two different governments- and yet, I cannot help but wonder if these victories are more similar than they appear.      The American conquest of Venezuela is something which feels eerily similar to the conquests of the past. When Nazi Germany and the USSR agreed upon taking a foreign country and occupying their land, did the people of both nations cheer as their forces moved forward? Were the German and Soviet citizens excited at their new conquest? Were they celebrating their great victory, as the country of Poland fell with little to no resistance?        Regardless of the different scenarios, and more impo...

We’ve reached a turning point.        Yet again, another obstacle has presented itself in the path towards a peaceful and prosperous future. The never-ending campaign of division, has yet again reached new heights. After all the chaos, after all the violence, only one question remains- what comes next, now?      The reality that we now face, here in the West, is grim. The path forward in which we as a people get to continue our lives, is shrinking quicker by the day. As more time erodes, so does the option of making peace with those who we call our neighbours. Those who we walk beside in the streets. Those who we share an office-space with during our breaks. Those who we participate with during our extracurricular activities and leisures. The dream of continuing, as is, is fading— fast.      For close to 100 years, we have lived in relative peace within our society. Landing in China, something struck me. Within 2 minutes of being here, in a foreign country, my eyes picked up on something that seemed so strange. And yet, when said out loud, it seems like such an obvious statement.      Everybody is Chinese.        The entire country, constructed out of the same people. An entire nation, build around those who have been here for centuries. A people, which have called this land their home since before the Qing Dynasty united the country for the first time.      And yet, I couldn’t help but wonder- Why are my own people not allowed to do the same? Why is it, that my ancestors, are forced to mix and mingle? Why is it that my homeland, my home country, is forced to accept millions upon millions of foreigners, who do not care nor share my values?        The more time I spent thinking about this question, the angrier I became.   Parasitic Ideologies      It’s amazing to watch a society adopt parasitic ideologies, as if they are some form of enlightened knowledge. The consumption of repetition- hearing the same thoughts and ideas, over and over- eventually leading to the idea being planted into the victim’s mind. Television and radio, enforcing the same views upon their viewers, until the individual becomes so numb to the thought that they adopt the view as their own. Propaganda embedding itself into the populace, all within an extremely short amount of time.      If one could time-travel back, only a few short years ago, one would be mind-blown. The thoughts and quality of conversation, amongst society, have completely shifted. For the topics and view-points of 10 years ago, have been completely erased.   Breaking Point.      The tension in the air is incredible. Every move is being observed and calculated like never before. The entire Western Hemisphere holds its collective breath, as we await what lies in store for us next. We have reached critical mass- a breaking point- and I don’t see how we can possibly hope to move forward from here with something breaking off.      Between the noise of the internet, and the obvious state of the world- We are in store for a wild next couple of weeks. The build-up has been going on for a while now, and all attempts at controlling the noise and silencing the doubters has failed. The inevitable continues to push forward, as the bubbling deep from within increases its volume. The over-boiling of society is ready to explode at any given moment, provided they are able to see the green light.      How can we, as a society, hope to continue functioning as-is, if we do not change something?
