Leader vs. Ruler ๐Ÿ‘‘

Knowledge Is Power.      Always the same sentence, over and over again. Knowing how to accomplish certain things in life is the key to unlocking your true power. Imagine somebody who doesn’t know how to connect their apartment up to the internet. How can that person unlock the internet to better advance their own interests? The answer is simple- they can’t. Knowing how to accomplish certain things, as well as when to look for help, is a valuable key.      Moving forward, we all must come to the realization that we are solely responsible for the progress we do or do not make. We must be the ones who understand that there is nobody responsible for our success or failure other than ourselves. We must become completely responsible and accountable for everything in our lives, from A to Z. No one else will help us in accomplishing and creating the path we so wish to walk on. We must be the ones who pulls our boots up and does the work ourselves. Only then,...

Histลria ⏳

History Is Being Written.      Watching the history of the World is a daunting task to say the least. We humans have accomplished so much, it a relatively short period of time. We have truly written one of, if not the, greatest saga’s ever told. Yet despite all we’ve written- there’s still so much to unfold.      Losing the Library of Alexandria was potentially the worst tragedy to ever befall history. We as a civilization lost so much knowledge of the past within those flames, never to be recovered again. It becomes almost mind-bending when you realize that 95% of history has been lost forever. Think of all the great kings and conquests which we openly talk about and study. Now think about all the stories we’ll never even know.      Time is truly undefeated. It is a vial filled with sand, slowly erasing all which it consumes. Someday, perhaps not too far, we as a race may not even know about Ancient Greece or Sumer. We may not even kn...

Sicario ๐Ÿ”ซ

Back to Basics.      After a short hiatus, I’ve decided to return. Between losing power, and simply being hungover, I struggled with he ability to continue forward with my progress. Blame it on the alcohol, eh Jamie?      Regardless, here I am. Back as can be. Ready to face life and all the struggles which come along with it. Overall, I am feeling good. I finally caught up on some much needed sleep. My soul feels rested, and ready to take on the world once again.        I watched Sicario last night before bed. Great movie. Seriously, would definitely recommend if you haven’t seen it already. IT really got my head thinking about a lot of things. The scene in the middle of the film, where the squad takes a drive to Mexico and goes tho Juarez was intense. The blood was rushing. The constantly scanning, unaware of where the threat would emerge from. That felt like the closest thing to real that I’ve felt in a long, long time.  ...

Dies Mercurri ☿

It is Wednesday, my dudes.      Hump-day celebrations are in order. What’s on the menu? A solid serving of the same-old, same-old. The grind never stops. The strong never waiver. The marathon continues- whether you’re ready or not.      What is Wednesday, anyways? I mean obviously it’s the name we use for the day in the middle of the work week- but what is it, really? Well, much like every other name for the days of the week, it pays homage to pagan roots in mythology. An entire day, completely dedicated to some god (tiny g) which we do not even realize we are worshiping. First off, worshipping is a pretty big no-no according to most religious texts. Outside of the one true Creator, whatever his name may be, false idols and worship are considered a crime. Yet here we are, celebrating an entire 24 hours, every single week, to some foreign pagan god that we don’t even know about. What’s up with that?      In French, Wednesday is translat...

Gladiator ⚔️

I watched Gladiator last night.      Well, I watched the first 15 minutes anyways. Let me tell you, those 15 minutes did not disappoint. Maximus, the Roman General, lead the army of Rome against the Germanic tribes which were uprising in the North. The men all lined up, prepared for battle, and executed anybody that stood in their way. 15 minutes, opening scene. Blood and death, everywhere. Literal chaos, reigning from all corners, to destroy those who opposed the will of Marcus Aurelius. One of the most famous Caesars to even rule over Rome.        What stood out to me the most, out of this entire war scene, was the will of men at their peak. Individuals from all backgrounds, united and fighting as one. Despite being a huge fan of the Roman Army, and fairly knowledgable in all of their conquests- I could not help but relate to the Germanic tribes which were trying to defend themselves. These Germanic soldiers, who were simply local...
