Dies Mercurri ☿

 It is Wednesday, my dudes.

Hump-day celebrations are in order. What’s on the menu? A solid serving of the same-old, same-old. The grind never stops. The strong never waiver. The marathon continues- whether you’re ready or not.

What is Wednesday, anyways? I mean obviously it’s the name we use for the day in the middle of the work week- but what is it, really? Well, much like every other name for the days of the week, it pays homage to pagan roots in mythology. An entire day, completely dedicated to some god (tiny g) which we do not even realize we are worshiping. First off, worshipping is a pretty big no-no according to most religious texts. Outside of the one true Creator, whatever his name may be, false idols and worship are considered a crime. Yet here we are, celebrating an entire 24 hours, every single week, to some foreign pagan god that we don’t even know about. What’s up with that?

In French, Wednesday is translated to Mecredi, which can be traced to its Latin roots. The word Mecre, plus the word Di, thrown together, to form Mecre-Di. When translated to english, the words translate to Mercury Day. Mercury, the Roman god of commerce, eloquence, travellers, communication and trickery. Trickery sure makes sense eh? Here we are, worshipping a pagan god, that most people don’t even have a clue about. Hell, they even named a planet after him as well. Sounds like somebody this important should probably get a little more attention within our society, wouldn’t you think?

Once you finally open this can of worms, and start doing a little research on the subject- you quickly realize all the days of the week are named after pagan gods. In fact, they’re all Roman. Which, makes sense, seeing as we here in the West are directly connected to their society and culture. Everything we do, from the days of the week, to reading and writing, hold roots in the Roman culture and their long-standing reign of power. Sunday? Dimanche, Day of the Sun. Monday? Lundi, Day of the Moon. Tuesday? Mardi, Day of Mars. Wednesday? Mecredi, Day of Mercury. Thursday? Jeudi, Day of Jupiter. Friday? Vendredi, Day of Venus. And finally, Saturday. Samedi, Day of Saturn. All these days of the week, dedicated to worshipping deities which most individuals have no clue about.

Now, understanding the names of the weekdays and what they represent may not seem like such a big deal. I mean, most of them are just gods which the old worlds and societies used to worship every single week. Which raises the question- why are we still worshipping them? Why are we, a supposedly superior and far more intelligent nation, continuing to follow our pagan roots in mythology? It doesn’t really make much sense. Then again, when we finally wake up and observe society with an open eye, we quickly realize- nothing makes sense. Everything is backwards. Up is down. Nothing we say or do as a culture aligns with our current values. Something, or someone, has been deceiving us from the very start. They have, and continue to, lead us astray, down a path of disobedience and deception. It’s as if we are purposely being drawn away from understanding ourselves and the world we live in, without even being aware of it.

One of the biggest lies we’ve been taught, is celebrating New Years. New Years, on January 1st. In the middle of the cold, harsh winter. We sit around and celebrate a new calendar year, ringing it in with champagne and parties. We celebrate like we have finally entered a new season of our lives. In the middle of Winter. It makes absolutely zero sense, when you finally awaken. What is born in the dead of winter? What comes to life, during the frost and cold? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. So why do we even celebrate it in January to begin with? Because the Earth has made a full revolution around the Sun? Newsflash, Einstein, every single day is a new revolution around the Sun, depending on when you measure it. So why have we just accepted January 1st as our starting point?

Most religions clearly celebrate the New Years in Spring. They view the thawing of the ground, the melting of the snow, the blooming of the tress, as a sign of celebration. They see the new life cycle of the plants and wildlife, as a sign of a New Year. Bears, coming out of hibernation. Geese, flying back North to their homes. Flowers, emerging from the ground and blooming. Everything in the entire World, makes its rebirth in the Spring. Yet we celebrate in January. Tell me, how does that make sense? How does celebrating the rebirth of life, in the dead of Winter, where everything is frozen and deceased, make sense? Doesn’t celebrating the full revolution of the Earth around the Sun, make the most sense in a time where life is being reborn? Renaissance.

The more time you spend thinking and learning about it, the less things make sense. The more you realize, we are being deceived 24/7. Every single thing we are being taught and conditioned to accept in society, is a great, big, giant lie. We are being intentionally fed things which are not even aligned with our current societal values. We are constantly being lead astray in our words and thoughts. We have been programmed to worship gods which we know nothing about, celebrating dates which aren’t even accurate. Who decided Christmas was December 25th? The birth of Christ, at the end of December? What evidence is there to support that claim? Regardless of being a Christian or not- the concept is absurd.

The list of lies and deceit go on and on, like a never-ending list. Everything from 24 hours on a clock, to the months of the year- based on lies. Nothing we know of in today’s society makes any sense. It’s a non-stop charade of deception, being cast upon all of us. We have been fed false idols, false knowledge, to keep us from claiming our true power. It’s evil. It’s genius.

It’s the perfect recipe for keeping the masses silent and dependant on a corrupt system,

worldwide.

May God have mercy on us all,

                    Amen.
