Alone.      Once again, the days grow long. Normally, I do not dread the darkness. Yet today, of all days, I long for human connection. I long for the soft, gentile touch of a woman’s skin, pressed up against my own. The opportunity to share a moment, with another human being, something that I have not done in forever. I almost forget what it is like, to have somebody to lean on.      Being independent is a great skill to master. Learning how to fully completely function on one’s own, something very few in the history of humanity have truly mastered. And yet, every now and then, the waves of loneliness come crashing down upon you. Perhaps loneliness is not the right word. Perhaps, simple companionship, would be the more appropriate term.        Isolation is a very difficult thing for the human mind to truly achieve. The act of being separated from all that makes us human, in order to reconnect with our inner-self. The very practice is a ...

The Darkness ⚫️

Nothing.      The joy of life can no longer be found. The light which rests in my eyes, has all but vanished. The pleasures of this world, seem lost upon me- like the ocean longing for the desert once more.   If You Knew You Couldn’t Lose- What Would You Do?      Seriously, think about it. If you knew you couldn’t lose- what would you do?      Would you run to the casino and gamble away until you couldn’t carry any more chips? Would you pick up a sport you loved as a child, and become the greatest to ever play? Or would you simply approach that girl, you’ve been obsessed with for years, and finally make her your wife?      The question is thought-provoking, to say the least. The idea of being able to accomplish all that you wish, is something greater than winning the lottery. A feeling of invincibility, giving you the confidence to move in a way you’ve never experienced before.      Yet here we stand, lost in thought, afraid to make a mistake. Here we sit, waiting for life to happen to us, instead of going on and making it. Here we lie, day-dreaming about a million outcomes which will never show their face.    ...
