     The death of a nation no longer goes out with a bang . The destruction of a country and its people is no longer measured by guns or swords. The destruction of what our ancestors have built will not be conquered via force. The true, final blow will be that of a nation neutered; too weak to push back and take back what is theirs to own.      A great man once spoke about how the fall of nations begins once the individuals begin to put their own wants and desires above their fellow countrymen . As an individual who grew up, believing that life was all about finding what it is we wish to accomplish, I strongly disagreed. The thoughts and beliefs of being an individual who was born to pursue their own path, at whatever cost, was engrained within my DNA. Sometimes I feel like, I don’t have a partner. Sometimes I feel like, my only friend. Is the city I live in, the city of Angels. Lonely as I am- together, we cry.      What a song. What an album. What a band. The depth of music and lyrics are something which very few artists can come close to today. Which is astounding, if you sit back and look at it from a clear-eyed view. Art- Music, Movies, Books, etc.- Are meant to improve over time, as we as humans evolve. Yet, when we take a moment to sit back and look at the overall landscape of the arts environment we currently find ourselves in- it has not. In fact, I would argue that is has dropped in quality like nothing we have ever seen before. I would argue that the overall composition of music, cinema, books and all other forms of content, have become plagued by something destructive.
