Hard Times, Strong Men 🛡️

How Old Were You?      How old were you when you finally woke up and realized, everything is fake.        Fake food. Fake elections. Fake News. Fake Money. Fake Life. Even fake heroes, sent before us as the people’s champs. Fake. Fake. Fake. Everything, everywhere, all at once.        A part of your soul shatters when you finally come forward and see the truth. The image and lies you’ve come to accept as reality, destroyed into a million different pieces. The very construct of all you know, defeated by the truth. The illusion no longer persists, leaving you wide open and exposed.        Part of me blames myself, for ever falling for it in the first place. The thought that things were always in control and simply flowing along in a natural state speaks to my youthfulness and naivety. Being young and dumb, truly not grasping the true meaning of power and how it is applied, across the world. The reality is, w...

The Climb 🏔️

The Solo Journey.      Being an artist requires one to walk their own path. It requires them to move in a direction, when others cannot see where you step.      The journey of an artist is one filled with people who doubt and disbelieve in what you do. They will mock, judge, and even disagree with the path. Yet one things remains true, above all else- it is not their path to take.      I often think of the quote that ships are safer in the harbour, but thats not what ships were built to do. The idea that we as individual will always be safer by staying conserved and in line, rather than stepping out and putting ourselves out there. In a sense, it’s right. We are safer, staying in the harbour. We are guaranteed food, friends, family, and a good life. But that’s not what ships were built for, is it? That’s not what we as humans were given life for, after all.      Being able to take risks is necessary. Being able to step o...

Sunday Thoughts 💭

Sunday Funday.      Another week in the books. Time really flies when you’re having fun. Same question I ask every single week- what have you accomplished? We’re now four weeks into the new year, and at this point you’re either taking strides towards your goals, or you’re cooked. They say that forming any habit takes a 3 by 3 by 3 trajectory. 3 days to make it a habit, 3 weeks to make it a plan, and 3 months to make it a permanent change. I suppose I buy into that notion. The idea of change being subtle, yet intense, should be the goal for anybody who is looking to improve themselves in some capacity. The ability to take small actions, small steps, and compound them towards a greater goal is the key to success. I truly vouch for the power of compound action. I have seen it at work in my own life, and the results re astronomical. Little by little, brick by brick, the tiniest of actions can build up to a mountain of success. The littlest of forces can be...
