Animal Farm 🐷

Animal Farm      Everywhere you look- animals. Farm creatures, being forced to follow the crowd. Rushing around, chasing after something they can’t see. Believing in a lie they cannot fully comprehend. The idea that there lies something, at the end of the journey, waiting to all be worth it in the end.        And the masses follow it, without hesitation.        These animals are forced to run at such high-speeds. They’re taught to never slow down, never question it. To simply move forward and chase after whatever lies ahead. A new house. A new car. A new job. A new salary. Soon, the very animal is indoctrinated into nothing more than a domesticated beast. A wolf, turned into nothing more than a fluffy puppy that wags its tail and begs. The very nature of humanity, transformed into nothing more than a disease.      Perhaps calling them animals would be inaccurate, in the bigger picture. Perhaps, another word bes...

Creature of Habit ✍🏼

Letters Forming Words.      Some days, I do not feel like writing. Some days, I simply wish to close my eyes and play dead. However, discipline is a practice- one I continue to sharpen, day-in & day-out.      Repetition is necessary in order to grow. Ask any body builder in the gym how they got such big biceps, and they’ll tell you the exact same thing. They may even dive into dieting and macros and semen retention- but that’s a whole different story, I suppose.      Overall, improvement is only possible when we practice. Practicing, over and over, until we get the desired results. Some days, we do not feel like practicing. In my experience- those are the days when our practice counts the most.        One of the greatest lines I have ever heard is from the movie Dune. Actually, I suppose I should say the book- credit to Frank Herbert where it’s due. Regardless, the greatest line comes from the scene where Paul A...

Dreams & Nightmares 💤

Last night, I dreamt of a sunset.        A gorgeous sunset, across a great lake. It filled the sky up with crimson red, as it swept across the horizon. The very eye in the sky, caught ablaze, setting down on a place to rest for the long night ahead. Still, in that moment, I did not care about what lay ahead. In that very moment, I was absorbed with the magnificence of the scenery I was caught up in. All I could think of was how fortunate I was to be able to witness something as spectacular as the sun setting within my time here on Earth.      And then I woke up. Nothing more, nothing less. No visit from an other-worldly being, no message from the great unknown. Just me, myself and the sun. Naturally, I did some digging on the dream, trying to better understand it. This isn’t the first time I’ve dreamt of a sunset like this before. In fact, I had a similar one months ago back in August. It seems like the sunset has become a sort of r...
