 Are You Having Fun?

    Simple question, really. Are you having fun? Do you enjoy your everyday? Do you wake up, excited to get started to see where the drywall take you? Are you thrilled to begin?

    If you aren’t excited, you’re likely to fail anyways. If you aren’t foaming at the mouth to attack whatever it is you’re after- you’re unlikely to succeed.

    Having fun is the key ingredient. Being awake and in charge of your day-to-day is the secret towards becoming the best version of yourself. Understanding that whatever it is that drives you is the key to success. That the fire within, which ignites only when you’re having fun, will guide you. Being able to be free and creative in a way that compares to nothing else.

    Most adults lose their fun. They wake up one morning, with the light burnt. The glow in their face and smile in their lives, completely wiped out. The forces of the exterior world have extinguished their flame. Instead of an excited individual, you find a depressed and lonely soul. One who drags their feet around 24/7, unable to truly contribute anything of worth to this world. The dark, sunken eyes of those who once had life- now gone into nothingness.

    Losing your fire is a sin worst than death. Losing your joy and happiness is a capital crime. The very bane of your existence, cast aside to pursuit non-meaningful goals. The irony of it all, is that those who tend to follow this path, rarely succeed in the first place. Those who chase after something which doesn’t align with their soul, are unlikely to live a fulfilled life in the first place.

    Passion is what wakes you up in the morning. Passion is what keeps you up, late at night. Passion is what sparks the flame inside you, allowing you to push for one more rep, or to grind for one more hour. To continue venturing into the unknown, driven by some force which cannot be seen from the outside. Passion is what allow you to operate on a level higher than the average human being.

    What are you passionate about? What is it in life that excites you? What makes your heart rate spike, as the thrill and excitement of tackling another day presents itself before you?

    Simple questions, that most cannot seem to answer. Simple concepts, which leave even the hardest worker men sit in silence and question. The truth is, passion is the key to unlock our potential. The ability to truly rise above, and become who it is we are meant to be.

    Having the freedom to make mistakes, and have fun, is what life is all about. The opportunity to rise above the noise, and become whatever it is we wish to be. The practice of applying our focus, in a specific direction. The ability to steer our will, towards achieving something unique. That is what separates us from one another. That is what makes us all unique.

    Why would you, an original, wish to die a copy? Why would you, a unique, try and blend in? The idea is criminal, to say the least. The very concept of sacrificing who we are, in order to become some image in our head. The terrible sin of betraying ourselves for absolutely nothing to begin with.

    Are you having fun? Are you enjoying your short trip? Are you excited to wake up every morning, and tackle a new challenge? What is it that makes you tick? What is it that lights the fire under your belly, as you strive towards achieving something worthwhile? 

    Life is a Do-It-Yourself project- one where each man must make a name for themselves. Understanding this is the key to following ones passions. Realizing that we are all born unique, is the key to success. How can you hope to succeed, when you don’t enjoy what you’re doing? How can you awaken the power within, by simply following along with the crowd?

You were born to stand out, not fit in. You were raised to create waves, not ride them.

You were born to have fun.
