Planet of the Apes 🦍

 What A Wonderful Day!

I keep on hearing that line from the new Planet of the Apes movie, coming out today. Look at me go, advertising for a series that I’ll make zero dollars from!

What a wonderful day, indeed. What a wonderful day to ponder the question- could monkeys run this planet better than we could? Could they govern the Earth and do a better job?

Honestly, it feels like a trick question. The answer is probably not so black and white. What I would say though, is that the monkeys would probably be way less corrupt than humans are. They’d probably be less willing to make shoddy deals behind everyones back, to simply benefit their own hide. I like to believe that monkeys would not reach the level of corruption humans have, simply for their lack of experience. Have no fear tho- I guaranteed they’d get there, one day.

Wasn’t life much more enjoyable before realizing the entire thing is a show? Before awakening and seeing the truth right in front of your eyes? I low-key miss it. I low-key miss waking up and being in my own little world. Perhaps ignorance truly is bliss, eh? Regardless- once you are awake, you shall remain awake eternally. Frederich Nietzsche. What a character.

Faith says to keep on keepin’ on, and not to worry. To understand that there are some things greater than what we can understand, working towards a goal we cannot see. Either way, it’s a skill I’ve yet to master, unfortunately. The process of allowing things to simply flow, without the egotistic need to control everything. What a riddle to say the least. Perhaps being ignorant wasn’t so bad, after all.

Monkeys running the world would be quite a sight to see. They are absolute animals. I mean that in the most respectful way, just in case one of them ends up reading this. Animals. Brutes. Strength beyond human understanding. Seriously, I low-key wish I could have super-monkey strength. Imagine, swinging from branch to branch, without a care in the world? Eating bananas all day and pissing off cheetahs? What a life, to say the least.

Have you ever heard the theory that monkeys are currently entering the stone age? That most ape tribes, located around the world, have begun to use tools to help them advance in their daily lives? I’ve seen a picture of an Orangutang using a wooden spear to help itself fish. That’s wild. Even apes using rocks to help hunt. Insane stuff. The overall theme seems to be that these primitives are constantly learning, constantly evolving. I wonder if they’re simply preparing, as back-up, in case we royally fuck things up ourselves?

The general consensus is that we humans evolved from monkeys. That we are simply a branch of apes which broke off and evolved some sort of super-intelligence, relevant to our distant ancestors. Honestly, I’m on the fence about that one. Actually, I’ll flat out say it- no chance in hell. No chance that we simply broke off on our own and just started running laps round them. The math just ain’t mathin’ when you put it like that. The only thing which would make the most sense, in my humble opinion, would be if something intervened with our progress. If something, or someone, came down from above and altered our genes.

We definitely look the same as monkeys, that much I’ll openly admit. Stare into the eyes of our fellow primates, and you will eventually find yourself staring at a less-evolved version of yourself. Well, depends on the breed of monkey. Some of them are straight up wild animals. No disrespect.

If we truly did evolve from our less-intelligent ancestors, then something must have accelerated our growth. Something much have changed us so that we no longer looked like them. Darwin theory basically says it just happened over time, millions upon millions of years. I’m going to call bullshit on that one. Darwin had a lot of cool theories to learn and memorize, until you finally reach the age of 12. Then you start to realize a lot of it is just high school bullshit they teach you so that everybody stays dumb and ignorant.

Something altered us to become the humans we are today. Something, somewhere, intervened. There is no chance in hell that all of this is just “by accident” and that we just “Got lucky”. I refuse to believe something as idiotic as that. The goal of creating the illusion that all is simply natural and evolutional, is essentially an attempt to erase God and his artwork. Which is essentially what society is attempting to do, 24/7.

Humans have this weird need, this desire, to become masters of the Universe. We wish to absorb everything around us, and control it. We try to become the owners of everything, allowing ourselves to believe that we are all-powerful. Something about that is completely and utterly insane.

Our ego’s have become out of check and out of range. We operate on a system of material, instead of a system of knowledge. Everything we have accomplished, up to this point, completely overthrown by this false sense of ownership. This false belief.

If monkeys truly do wish to follow in our footsteps-

I hope they are able to learn not only from our actions, but also from our mistakes.

        Glory Be,

                    Amen.
