New Slaves ⛓️
Follow the Light.
After months, years, of battling in the darkness- light is a welcoming sight to say the least.
The first men who were brave enough to exit the cave, had to at first be afraid of the light. They must have become so accustomed and dependant to the shadows of the dark, that the source of light reaching out towards them must have been foreign. It must have felt like something celestial, calling upon them to reach out and follow its force. Those individuals, who had become slaves to the darkness, took a risk in following a new source of power. They were willing to leave behind everything they had ever known, and accept the fact that whatever was out there, was waiting for them.
Stepping out from the darkness can be a challenging task. Becoming accustomed and comfortable to the darkness and everything which comes with it, is only a matter of time. People who live in suffering, tend to stay in suffering- because it is familiar. Those who wish to remain as they are, because they know how to handle it, stay exactly where they have been their entire lives. They never move forward, never seek help, never try to change their situation or surroundings. They become dependant on the dark, embracing it, convincing themselves that they are friends. That their oppressor is actually their acquaintance, and that they are meant to be there with them.
The best slave is he who is unaware that they are a slave. He who unknowingly chains themselves up and accepts their role as a servant, without ever questioning it. The individual who stays in the darkness, stays in the cave, and believes that his life is paradise. Individuals like such are the easiest to control, because they become complacent and brainwashed. They will defend their very way of life, despite the fact that there is more out there for them to experience. They will grow comfortable in their darkness, and remain there for the rest of their lives. They will no longer dream, no longer imagine, anything outside of their own chains they have enslaved themselves in.
We run in a society where the chains are now invisible. They are completely and utterly free from the physical worlds. These chains are cast upon the minds of those who are ignorant to their lives, believing that they are free when they are not. They follow strict orders, strict routines, doing whatever it is which is necessary to continue their path of the known. Anything outside of their regularly scheduled routine, leads them towards a world of uncertainty. They no longer wish to exist outside of their own chains which they themselves have shackled.
Did you know that monkeys only masturbate in captivity? That means that in the wild, the practice does not exist? There’s a lesson hidden in there, if you’re willing to look for it. If you’re willing to open up and understand that these primates only learn how to self-pleasure themselves once they have been placed inside a cage behind iron bars. I often wonder how similar we are to them in that regards as well. Human beings are not meant to be caged and imprisoned. We are meant to be open and free, allowing to move throughout the world as we please. Yet here we are, locked behind imaginary cases, waiting for imaginary rules to come out and tell us how to live. Are we that much more different than our primitive ancestors?
Man often struggles in life without a purpose. They will distract themselves with endless pleasures, as they fill the void of emptiness within. They will find any which way to ease their suffering, removing their mind from the existential dread which consumes them. This applies to all men, whether they know it or not. They will consume sports, consume cinema- they will consume anything so long as it passes the time away. The ability to slowly but surely chip away at their consciousness, until one day they wake up and they are barely a man to begin with.
Humanity has entered an age where there is no need for suffering. No need, at least, to wake up every single day and improve your situation. Improve the conditions in which one lives in. This holds true at least in the West. Although other societies may be slightly behind, overall the world is in a period of stagnation. Yet anyone who knows anything about physics understands that there is no such thing as stagnation. Things are either moving forward, creating new life- or they are slowly down to dead. Death follows all those who do not move. Action is the elixir of life.
Make no mistake- society is dying. The non-action, non-improvement of the world is slowly decaying away. Men now waist their lives, filling their time with entertainment. They continue to push forward, destroying any last bit of their soul inside. Those who do continue to fight, find themselves swimming upstream instead. They face challenges which create difficult situations before them. Overall, the state of the world is in shambles to say the least.
We are in chains. Whether one is willing to admit it or not. Freedom is slowly but surely being stripped right from our hands. We the people have become complacent, willing to simply sit and accept or situation at hand. We no longer seem to have the will to fight, as the ground beneath us slowly shrinks away. Make no mistake- it is all by design.
Years from now, perhaps decades, we will look back and wonder how it all went wrong. How so many could just sit by and not stand up for their own rights. How we, a complete generation, allowed this all to slip from our hands without even putting up a fight. How an entire society was conquered, without firing a single bullet.
We the people will look back in this last decade, and realize-
we have built our own chains in plain sight.
Glory Be,
Amen.
