The Sky is the Limit.
Monday Funday, another week locked and loaded. Hope you’re ready to get this bread. Or not. Carbs aren’t ideal to start off your morning, anyways.
As time keeps on ticking, the tools and skills required to survive in the new world continue to grow. Once awake, you will remain awake eternally. And let me tell ya- wide awake like Katy Perry. One of the more interesting things about this whole ordeal, is understanding where you as an individual fits in the grand scheme of things. Where you, the individual, will land amongst the new world and chaos which is about to explode. The death of the old world is inevitable- it is only a matter of time, at this point.
Understanding where we have been helps one understand where we are headed. Although no one can know the future for certain, we can definitely estimate to a certain degree which course we are likely to take. Overall, we are responsible for positioning ourselves in a situation which will ideally benefit ourselves and our loved ones, as the day where AGI appears continues to slowly make its way.
I’m not entirely sure people fully grasp the gravity of having AGI appear and take over the workforce. Most people will be pushed aside, as a form of super-intelligence will be able to do their task at hand, with a 100% work-rate. No lunch breaks. No days off. Just steady grinding, 24/7. It’s a blessing and a cruse. I say that, because once a computer begins to replace us, we the people will be cast aside like unwanted slaves.
The secret to the future, in my humble opinion, will be to find a way to continue to live moving forward. To find a purpose, a passion, which will allow us as humans the power and strength to continue forward in our treacherous journey. When you sit and think about it, most people are dead asleep. Sleeping at the wheel, putting one foot in front of the other with no thought process. What happens when you, all of a sudden, remove those people from the front seat, and throw them into the jungle? Nothing good, I suspect. The reality is, most of us do not know how to live our day-to-day lives, if it were not for somebody else telling us how high to jump and where to run.
Think about it. The average individual wakes up, eats, and goes to sleep, as they’re told. They simply exist to allow somebody else to tell them how to live. How to act. How to move. They become so accustomed, so dependant, on a system which does not care about them what-so-ever. Yet regardless, they go all in on it anyways. They continue moving forward, sacrificing their dreams and goals, to become on the many instead of the few. The very act itself is a crime against humanity- one which humanity has yet to wake up to. Oh, the irony.
As the world continues to accelerate towards uncertainty, only one thing can remain certain- life. Life, the air that we breathe and the ground which we walk, will continue to exist. We must learn to once again embrace the Earth as our home, and understand now more than ever, that we are destined to return to it. We must go outside, touch grass, spend time with loved ones. We must become comfortable, being children of the Earth once again. Technology has stolen us from our roots, misplaced us from the ground in which we once stood on. It has transplanted us from the outdoors, to the inside of cubicles and desks. We do not belong here anymore.
Earth is our home. Yes, we may dream of one day going to Mars or even Interstellar- but home is like no place other. Home is where we connect and feel who we truly are. We as people will find, in the coming years, that reconnecting is what will keep us alive. Being out there, cold and alone, floating in the vast nothingness, will only drive us further into insanity. Further into terror and chaos, as we slowly realize that which we left behind is the greatest asset we will ever see.
I am bullish on the future. I am bullish on Interstellar travel, and perhaps even finding new planets to live. However, as previously mentioned, Earth holds a special place. A place, where we have cultivated the land and materials for millenniums, allowing us to finally reach the point we have reached today. It is important to fully embrace how far we have come, while still keeping in mind how far we are yet to be. This truly is an extraordinary life, no matter how you slice it. We have been given something which most forms of life will never even experience. Never even see.
This life truly is a gift for us to cherish.
Glory Be,
Amen.
