Metamorphosis 🦋
We should have more hours in a day.
Seriously. 24? Nowhere near enough to get things done, in my opinion.
Why do we even operate on a 24 hour clock anyways? What is the significance of it? I know, I know- we’ve been doing it forever. Why fix it if it ain’t broken? Well, perhaps it is broken. Perhaps the current 24 hour schedule simply isn’t enough.
Time is a weird thing, when you truly break it down and understand it. Honestly, it’s a mess. 60 seconds, 60 minutes, 24 hours? Where’s the logic in it? I could probably search and write a whole page about the history of the modern-day clock, and how it came into existence etc. but truthfully, I don’t care enough. I don’t feel like doing all the research and formulating complex arguments for the sake of it. Today, I don’t feel like fighting against the brainwashed population who simply do as they’re told.
Today is a weird day. I feel like today, anything is possible. Anything, except more time I guess. Seriously, what would you do with more hours in your day? Would you sleep longer? Would you start a new project? Would you work a new job? There would be so many possibilities, so many new excitements. Yet here we are, slaves to our own mentality. Seriously- that’s exactly what we are. Slaves. Clock in, clock out. Always pushing against time. Trying to speed up certain moments, and slow down others. A constant back-and-forth battle with the ultimate force of Life, here on Earth.
I say here on Earth, because time works differently everywhere else in the Universe. Well, allegedly- I’ve never been to space. However, I would definitely put it on my bucket list. Visiting outside of our own atmosphere must be a unique and sobering experience. I always think about what William Shattenkirk said, after he was flown up to Space by Jeff Bezos’ company. He basically said that Space was cold and empty, quiet even- it reminded him that everything we know and love is right here, on planet Earth. Which kind of puts things into perspective, when you think about it.
Outer Space is like the Ocean. A giant body of unexplored potential, with God knows what floating around. We, here on Earth, inhabit the only known rock in Space- according to our knowledge. Yet out there, out in the dark emptiness- who knows what awaits us. Truthfully, I’d bet that its cold and alone. I’d bet that all we would find outside of our little bubble, is death and emptiness.
I’m sure there is life elsewhere. In fact, I’d probably argue it. If you study the ancient Summerians and their culture, they believe that the Annuaki visited the planet and created everything we see. I don’t think I’m going to really get into that whole can of worms, but I would say that it is interesting. Definitely gets the mind going, to say the least. Regardless, the idea is they came from another planet, to enslave us. Which sounds about right, when you think about it. If we humans were to travel at the speed of light, and find a newly developed species floating on a rock- would we not extort them for their natural resources? Would we not make them obey our every commands, in exchange for their goods? Honestly, knowing mankind- there would be no doubt in my mind about it.
Today’s a bit of an unhinged rant, dealing with possibilities and probabilities in Space-Time. It is what it is. Honestly, I enjoy thinking about it. I enjoy the mental gymnastics behind it all. We as a species should be curious about everything and anything, as we try to better understand our place in the Universe. There are so many questions which have yet to be answered, and even more questions that have yet to be asked. There are things we don’t know, that we don’t even know we don’t know yet. Talk about a mind-bender, eh?
What would you do if you had the power to enslave a species? Would you travel the galaxies, looking for a young breed of species to follow your will? Would you extort every single individual, in order to advance your own gains? What would you even be looking to acquire, once you got a hold of your new herd? So many questions, which we have yet to even discover. Seriously, there is an entire Universe out there, exploding with knowledge and resource that we aren’t even aware of. The thought of it all is almost too much for the human brain to handle. In all honesty, it probably is.
In some point in time, merging with the machine is inevitable. Joining forces with the computer is bound to happen. In fact, test trials are already being run, as we speak. Sooner, rather than later- the whole world will be chipped. Insanity, when you truly think about it. The idea of the entire species, being controlled by a motherboard. It creates a new form of slavery- one beyond our darkest nightmares. Yet, in every scenario I can see- it’s necessary. How can we, as a species, advance and push beyond what is possible, if we are not united? How can we, as a group with differences of opinions, form a core so strong that the very Universe bends to our will? How can we travel at the speed of light, and manipulate Space-Time, without all being interconnected? So many possibilities lie in the idea of a united Human Race.
Free will comes into play. Consciousness is a sacred gift from our Creator. Yet here we are, playing with both. Here we are, experimenting with the ideas and notions of removing them both, so that the will of one man may direct the ship. It’s not only frightening- it’s also immoral. Immorality is one of the greatest crutches of human beings. It is what separates us from the animals, and nature itself. It is what was given to us, so that we may use it to create a better world. It truly is the greatest gift from God himself. Yet how can we play god, without abandoning it? How can we control more, without shedding the skin in which we were given?
I’m not trying to argue for or against it. I do not know the answer myself. Truthfully, it is a mental gymnastics exercise which will leave your head spinning, and drive you mad. Insanity is a true disease- believe me. All I know is, we as humans, are here to give birth to something else. We are here, on this Earth, in this reality- to create. To create life. To create systems. To create something greater than ourselves, so that we may finally take the next step in evolution, and conquer the Universe. Everything we need is right at our doorstep- we simply lack the will to reach out and grab it.
Glory Be,
Amen.
